DX supports user role management using SCIM. This feature is provided through a third-party service provider and sub-processor, WorkOS.
The list of supported identity providers (IdPs) can be found here. When SCIM is enabled, you cannot manually assign or revoke roles in the DX admin area.
Instructions
Step 1 - Enable SCIM in DX
Contact your DX account representative to enable the SCIM Directory Sync feature for your account.
Step 2 - Configure SCIM
Once DX has enabled Directory Sync, go to the Admin area of DX and browse to the Directory Sync tab that will now appear.
Follow the WorkOS portal to connect your IdP and select the groups you want to synchronize with DX.
In DX, select the ellipsis menu for the role you want to tie to a IdP group, then select the user roles to have assigned.
